​Information to Wittur customers about compliance with Lift Directive LD2014/33/EU

We are pleased to inform all Wittur customer that from April 20th 2016 Wittur products will be compliant with the Lift Directive 2014/33/EU.

We are pleased to inform all Wittur customer that from April 20th 2016 Wittur products will be compliant with the Lift Directive 2014/33/EU.

This includes all safety products as defined within the directive:
  • Devices for locking landing doors
  • Devices for prevent the car from falling or uncontrolled movements
  • Overspeed limitation devices
  • Energy accumulating or dissipating buffers
  • Safety devices fitted to jacks of hydraulic power circuits to prevent falls
  •  Electric safety devices in the form of safety circuits containing electronic components
In particular, Wittur product labels will be fully compliant with the new requirements set out by the new Lift Directive 2014/33/EU and will include amongst other general product data:
  • Product name
  • Type, batch or serial number, or other element allowing identification
  • Name of manufacturer / Registered trade name
  • Postal address at which the manufacturer can be contacted
  • CE-marking
All of this data will be translated into a bar/QR code that will also be included on the label.

The compliance to the lift directive include our production plants in Spain, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Germany and Turkey as well as our EU-based trading entities and covers our responsibilities as manufacturer, trader or importer. For products manufactured in our facility in China, which might be imported to the EU we also confirm compliance.
