Sematic obtains EN 81-20/50 conformity certification!
Sematic automatic lift doors have recently obtained the certification of conformity to the new EN81-20 / 50 European standards, which at the end of June 2017 will substitute EN 81-1 and EN 81-2.Released by IMQ, Italy’s most important certification body and a European leader in conformity assessments and laboratory tests, the conformity certifications cover the full range of Sematic product lines for lift landing doors.
Aimed at significantly improving the safety, comfort and travel experience of the passengers as well as the safety of the workers during installation and maintenance, EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 are introducing some relevant changes that all the lift companies have to take into consideration in the development of their new products as well as in the improvement of their existing products.
