International acquisition provides international sales and production momentum

By working internationally in the right way, it is possible for companies to raise to an even higher level of safety and quality. Especially for Dutch companies, it is good to be part of a large network where knowledge meets all different kinds of expertise and experience in order to achieve an optimal product line.A good example is Wittur BV, a specialist for the elevator industry that focuses on selling available elevator components and systems on the free elevator market. Johan Stoop, General Manager for Benelux, states: "We represent a part of much larger company with headquarters in Germany. Since April 1, we acquired Sematic officially. And at the same time Patrik Wohlhauser has been appointed new CEO (chief executive) of the Wittur Group. It is a collaboration that is also for our office of absolute value. "
International experience
Wohlhauser formerly was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Evonik Industries AG. He has a wealth of international management and business experience and expertise of many years in the combination and integration of acquired businesses. Additionally benefits the new CEO will bring are his deep knowledge in many sectors, including construction. Because Wohlhauser comes from outside the elevator industry, he will also bring a fresh look at things. It is his goal to implement innovative best practices that lie outside the core sector of Wittur. Upon his appointment as general manager Wittur announced that the acquisition of the Sematic Group has been successfully completed.
Global player
Stoop: "We continue to operate under the name Wittur, while the company names and trademarks of Sematic and Lift Material are now part of the Wittur Group. This laid the foundation for the emergence of one of the world's largest suppliers of components, modules and systems for the lift industry. You might even say the only true global player in the industry in the field of doors, modules and systems. We want to provide our customers with greater international sales and production momentum and a wider product range will provide an even better service. Moreover, we will be ready for the market in the future with an even higher level of product and service quality. "
Safety in Motion is the famous slogan of Wittur. For many years the approach goes beyond just delivering quality products. "The strength of our service lies in both local sales and local aftermarket," said Stoop. "Only in this way can you stand really close to the customer and it is possible to respond quickly to customer inquiries. Obviously after this international acquisition we wil also continue to supply product adaptations for the local market and we arrange assistance if customers to put a new elevator system, door or other new product into use. The acquisition can only increase our level of quality, safety and service.”
