An important event about the introduction of EN81-20/50 norms was organized by TÜV SÜD Slovakia on March 30th in Stary Smokovec (in the High Tatras, Slovakia). This very well-timed topic attracted a good number of participants: more than 150 lift professionals.
During the conference some crucial topics were discussed, including:
Wittur Poland trading company was present to the event and showcased its expertise in manufacturing products according to the new norms. Both multinational and independent companies showed high interest toward Wittur EN81-20/50 certified products such as doors, safety devices, drives, complete systems.
At the end of the day all participants gathered together for a dinner, during which further relationships were built in an informal way.

- Slovak Government Regulation No.22/2017, which amends Slovak Republic Government Order no. 235/2015 concerning the placing on the market of lifts and disclosure of safety components for lifts on the market;
- Major changes in safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts STN EN 81-20, EN 81-50;
- European standards for emergency communications;
- The impact of requirements of standard EN 81-20 for the construction of lift drives and elevator controllers.
