Wittur India’s Success in 2016 QCFI Competition

For the second year in succession,  Wittur  India participated at the chapter level competition of the 25th Silver Jubilee Convention of the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Chennai Chapter held on 10th and 11th September 2016. Competitions were held to recognize the best entries under KAIZEN, Slogan, Quiz, Poster and Project presentations. Wittur India nominated two teams;  both teams won the Gold Awards in their respected category of case study presentation.  This was an improvement over the Gold and a Silver Award that  Wittur  India won in 2015!

The forum encourages the spirit of competition, team work and continuous improvement.
 
In all, 227 teams comprising of 1300 participants representing 106 companies competed in the three categories of awards namely Gold, Silver & Bronze.  The competing companies included leading Multi-Nationals as well as reputed Indian manufacturers from the private and public sector.
 
Wittur India nominated 2 teams, namely “WIN STAR TEAM” representing direct employees from the Quality and Production departments and "WIN QA STAR TEAM” representing indirect employees from the Quality department.
 
Both teams won the Gold Awards in their respected category of case study presentation.  This was an improvement over the Gold and a Silver Award that Wittur India won in 2015!
The presentations were made in English and Tamil (local Indian language) before the 3 member jury constituting seasoned subject matter experts from renowned companies across India.
 
With this success, our teams have qualified to participate at the National Convention of the QCFI that will be held in December 2016. We congratulate both the teams for their great success and wish them the very best of luck at the national level competition.
