On young Heroes Day Young people exchange school with the workplace and "earn" a donation for Caritas children's projects.
Earning donations through their work and thus assist children in need - this is the idea behind the young heroes Day of youngCaritas, with the participation of 138 young people from the Diocese of St. Pölten. In the week before the semester break, these young people, swapped school with work and worked in 83 factories.
Their reward was not just the personal experience in the workplace, but also the donations of the companies involved to a Caritas Children project.
Students who took part to the initiatives came from the 8th grade of commercial colleges, high schools, higher educational institutions and technical schools for business professions.
The young heroes worked in small commercial enterprises as well as in large industrial companies, banks, municipalities and service facilities. Among them: WITTUR Austria GmbH in Scheibbs, Sparkasse northeast Mid West in Waidhofen. Falkemedia GmbH P & Rsupported the youngCaritas project with communications consulting and media design.
