Kielce, Poland, October 24th-26th 2012

Wittur will be present at Eurolift Exhibition in Kielce, Poland from October 24th to 26th 2012.

August 16th and 17th, 2012

Wittur Singapore hosted the Grand Opening of the new Asia-Pacific Technical Center on August 16th and 17th, 2012.

The opening of Wittur Singapore Technical Centre is an important milestone in the development of the Asia-Pacific business of the Wittur Group. Our empowered presence in the Asia-Pacific will enable us to build a stronger partnership and provide proximity support to our customers and business partners in the whole region.

There are three main areas of activity for Technical Centre:
1. Technical Presentation and demonstration of Wittur core products relevant for the AP region
2. Product training for customers and continuous product knowledge improvement for Wittur team
1. Effective product support with reduced lead times for AP customers.

The opening note on August 16th was delivered jointly by Mr. Sergio Biglino, Executive Vice President AP, Wittur Group, and Mr. Kenneth Aberg, Managing Director, Wittur Asia Pacific.
After the ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Mr. Aberg introduced the activities of the Wittur Singapore Technical Centre to the guest.
The second day was dedicated to the Tour of facilities and the demonstrations of new products, such as HPDS door system, packages for door modernization, range of controllers and inverters for geared and gearless lift machines. An introduction to spare parts and training capabilities was also part of the agenda.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the many customers and business partners for taking their time out to grace the event. We are going to continue to welcome customers and business partners to visit our Technical Centre, with customized programs for trainings and seminars.

October 9th and 10th, 2012

The 5th European Lift Congress organized by The Technical Academy of Heilbronn will take place in Heilbronn on October 9 and 10, 2012. Kerem Kuleli from Wittur will present a lecture about the development of MDS range of lift doors.

The event will be led by Dr. Gerhard Schiffner, and it is supported the European Lift Association ELA, the German Manufacturers’ Associations VDMA and VFA as well as the Association of Technical Inspectorate Agencies VdTÜV.

This year’s Congress will be focusing on lift regulations, on sustainability, safety and technical innovation. Visitors will have the opportunity to obtain the latest information on the planned revision of the Lift Directive and on the first practical experience with the new Machinery Directive. There will be in-depth reporting on the on-going revision of EN 81-1 and EN 81-2, of particular interest given the anticipated availability of the revised draft standards in the autumn of 2012.

On the subject of sustainability, participants will have the chance to hear the results of the E4 project concluded in the spring and the consequences for implementation of energy saving potential in the lift industry; moreover, presentations about the EU project on the achievement of accessibility for all are scheduled.
The planned contributions about safety and technical innovation will be dealing with such wide-ranging topics as systems designed to prevent unintended movement at lift stops, advanced control technology, new developments in the field of suspension systems and energy-saving lift systems.

A3 solutions from Wittur presented at Elevcon

Wittur was present at ELEVCON 2012, the 19th Congress on vertical transportation technologies in Miami, FL, USA from May 22nd to 24th, 2012.
Marcel Hasenrader from Wittur Gmbh has presented a paper about “Recent developments in electronic safety gears: UCM solution”.
The development of electronic safety gears has enabled a new generation of “smart” devices, which act quicker and are triggered by different sensors concurrently, thereby realizing redundant safety systems totally independent from lift controller.
Utilising EOS electronic speed governor as a basis, Wittur achieved the first certified UCM A3 system solution available on the market.
Thanks to the computational power on board the EOS, identification of excessive acceleration and activation at low speed can be achieved; the different solutions available have been presented, including:
  • Solution #1: EOS and BSG-25P safety gear
  • Solution #2: EOS and gearless drive brake

Guangzhou, China, May 16th – 19th 2012

As one of the world’s leading supplier of component for the lift industry, Wittur will be present at World Elevator & Escalator Expo 2012, one of the most important international trade fairs for lifts, escalators, components and accessories, scheduled to be held from May 16th to May 19th, 2012 at Pazhou Exhibition Centre in Guangzhou, China.  
Wittur booth (No. 2302) will present the latest innovations introduced by Wittur Centers of Competence in the context of “world wide wittur” product development. Lift safety, high performance components, energy efficient solutions and special expertise in niche products will be among the highlights of Wittur exhibits.
Wittur production site located in Suzhou is always focusing on providing China market with global high performance products and leading components technology, seeking for joint success with China elevator manufacturers.
WEEE visitors will be able to experience four themes respectively presented by four symbolized corners at Wittur Group booth: Safety Components, High Performance, Energy Efficiency, and Special Expertise custom designed for China market.  
The “Safety Components” section will display “Wittur outstanding safeties”, including Wittur latest release - the UCM solution for protection against unintended car movement, which consists of the electronic overspeed governor EOS and the bi-directional progressive safety gear BSG-25P. A selection of Wittur safety components will also be on display, including  the mechanical overspeed governor OL35, sliding guide shoes, roller guide shoes, the SGB range of safety gears, the Wittur progressive safety gears USG-25P, BSG-25P.
 “High Performance” booth section will thoroughly demonstrate Wittur’s strength in this field. Wittur will  present high-end lift components developed for high rise applications such as Pegasus HR door, safety components and the powerful and energy efficient WSG-29 gearless drive
Energy Efficiency section will focus on the advanced technologies Wittur has achieved in these years. This section will display the WSG-S series of energy-efficient gearless drivers, including the debut of WSG-S0. WSG S0.3 is a space-saving, energy-efficient and high quality gearless drive ideal for home lifts and residential buildings. ECO+ and MIDI+ brushless door drives with energy efficient operation and 0 watt standby capability  are also going to be demonstrated at Wittur booth.
The “Special Expertise” section will host some special samples, such as Wittur round glass panoramic lift car and LUNA underdriven round glass doors . Wittur is also going to display Wittur fire rated doors to demonstrate its expertise in dealing with special applications, such as the fire rated landing door in glass framed version certified in compliance with Russian code and EN81-58 code. Moreover, the Pegasus, 61/C central opening doors available up to 4500mm Clear Opening, will be presented at the booth. Visitors can gain full experience and understanding about Wittur’s interpretation of high technical standards into real application.

Wittur will be present at IEE Expo 2012, the vertical transportation exhibition to be held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India from Feb 16th to Feb 18th, 2012.

Augsburg, October 18th-21st 2011

Wittur will be present at Interlift, the international trade fair for elevators, components and accessories which is scheduled to take place at the Augsburg Exhibition Centre from October 18th to October 21st, 2011. The Wittur stand (7155) is located in Hall 7.

Wittur is going to unveil a number of innovations from its range of products; most of them will be marked by a new logo, the “A” in a round arrow. This logo highlights Wittur products which prominently feature energy efficiency, innovation, environmental awareness and reliability.

Interlift visitors will be able to experience Wittur MDS1: Wittur’s range of state-of-the-art commodity door for new lift installations in residential buildings, which offers easy and fast setup, low maintenance, reduced energy consumption and EN81-58 fire rating as standard.

Wittur will also be displaying the latest additions to its long list of certified doors: the LUNA round door EN81-58 E120, one of the very few fire-rated round doors available on the market; the HYDRA EI60 glass-framed door, one of the very first glass-framed doors with EN 81-58 EI60 fire rating to be presented to the market; and the PEGASUS EN81-71 vandal resistant door in category II execution. The FINELINE door system for modernizations will be on show in its EN81-58 E90 fire-rated execution. The range of AMDC operators will be part of Wittur exhibits for modernization purposes. The PEGASUS door will also be displayed in an execution fitted with optional features for high rise lift systems.


Wittur will be introducing MCS1, a new range of modular lift cars based on an innovative fixing system for car panels, and available in a complete range of dimensions as per ISO 4190-1 specifications.

Moreover, Wittur will be exhibiting the Culumbia panoramic lift car for tailored installations fitted with full glass panels and an under-driven Hydra plus car door.


Wittur is going to present for the first time to the public two new synchronous gearless drive models: WSG S0.3 is a space-saving, energy-efficient gearless drive ideal for home lifts and residential buildings; WSG-25 is an energy-efficient high-performance gearless drive, ideal for fast and demanding applications. The integrated fail-safe brake of these two gearless drives can be used in the context of a complete certified UCM solution compliant with EN81 1/2 A3.

Wittur D-PACK, which combines WSG-S1.3 ECO Gearless Drive and Wittur GLD frequency inverter, is a package designed for fast and easy installation: a built-in databank of all Wittur S drives enables fast auto-tuning operations also with load on the machine. The complete new range of Wittur GLD customized frequency inverters for lift applications will also be on display.

Innovative hydraulic drive solutions will be present with the Wittur HI inverter-driven hydraulic pump, which offers high travel comfort and reduced energy consumption. The Wittur UCM solution for hydraulic lifts is also part of the line-up of hydraulic products: HDU valve can be supplied as a stand-alone valve for modernizations or as a device integrated into the Wittur range of hydraulic pumps. In both cases, the HDU valve against UCM (uncontrolled car movement) is certified as per EN81-1/2 A3.

Safety gears

WITTUR’s innovative and unique UCM (uncontrolled car movement) solution brings together EOS (Wittur’s advanced electronic overspeed governor) with a variety of ancillary safety equipment including the Wittur range of progressive safety gears and brakes installed in gearless drives. A selection of Wittur safety components will be available on the stand, including the mechanical overspeed governor OL35, sliding guide shoes, roller guide shoes, the SGB range of safety gears, the Wittur progressive safety gears USG-25P, BSG-25P and the new CSGB series.

Selected high performance safety components displayed on the stand will include roller guide shoes, the OL100 overspeed governor and the new WSGB-10 Safety gear.


A section of the Wittur stand will be devoted to complete lift packages, including an MRL W-Line machine room-less lift system in EN81-71 Category II vandal resistant execution, an HHL W-Line Machine Directive compliant elevating platform for home lifts, and an MRM W-Line, a new Wittur package for the modernization of existing lifts, featuring extremely reduced pit depth and fast installation.
